Hands in the air, who have tried fad diets? I can see a large number of virtual you’s holding up their hands. diet for the last few years, and are happy with their weight? Not so many of you still have your hands in the air. Why is this? The majority of the time, we are after a quick fix. This is not about eating healthily; it’s about the fact that you are going on holiday in a month, and the tummy you have been hiding under your baggy top is soon to be on full show.

So we get drawn into these wonderful claims of losing weight fast by just eating licorice, and how amazing that sort of celebrity from Big Brother now Looks after doing this diet.

Sadly, however good some of these fads seem to be, any results you get are usually short-lived this is Great for the diet industry but not good for us. In fact that it can be quite damaging. You get bored with just eating licorice, and all you can think about is bread, and well, you have been on the diet for two days, so a slice or two of bread wont harm and before you know it, all you can think about is food, and you then decide that you will not lose weight in time, so you console yourself with more food, and then you are heavier and more unhappy than you were before the diet and then you spot a new celebrity diet that is virtually guaranteed to work.

The so-called yo-yo dieting can cause problems with insulin levels in the body, and people tend to end up fatter and unhappier than they were before They started.We tend to fail on fad diets mainly because they are not sustainable we can all eat just cabbage soup
for a week, but for the rest of your life?

Natural and varied

Food should be an enjoyment, and we should care about what we put in our bodies at the end of theday, it is about what the food is doing inside yourbody as well as out-
If you eat the right foods and keep them as natural and varied as possible, you will hopefully look as goodon the inside as you do on the outside.
